A step back into the past, Duke of Gloucester Street is full of rich history. Take a photo in the middle of the cobblestone streets or in front of any of the charming historic storefronts. It’s no secret that the beach is a great photo location, and Yorktown Beach is no exception. Have an ice cream cone at Ben & Jerry’s located just across the street, and have some fun posing with the cone as you enjoy the sweet treat. The options are endless if you pick Yorktown Beach for your engagement photo destination.
The name says it all, Sweethaven Lavender is a truly special place full of the sweet fragrance of lavender. The best times to visit are between mid-May and early July. A lovely white barn on the property would also be an excellent background. Sweethaven Lavender does have a photography policy, and reservations are required. Along the way you might discover unique shells, like the turritella snail, which is just a snippet of what the beach holds.
